Hello one and all, so sorry for the lack of updates in the last month.

Man a lot has happened since last, it has just been crazy. I guess we will start from the top.

Ok Moving in, I ended up with such an awesome room.

I love it, and here is my building, good ole C!

Orientation week was good but the activities were very subpar. It was pretty much a week to get to know my suite mates.

The Woods around campus are so awesome. I’ve never seen anything like them. There is also this amazing beach through the woods that has bio-luminescent algae, its like something out of a movie. If you run your hand through the water it sparkles. And scattered throughout the woods there are some tree houses.

This past week i’ve been taking a lot of walks through the woods at 2 in the morning. Sometimes without flashlights, its terrifying.

At first I was really nervous for classes to start but now after 2 weeks of them they really aren’t bad at all. I have less homework then i did in high school, by quite a bit. I have been reading a lot but so far all i have to do is a one page reaction about what i read. Right now I’m reading the book Monkey! Gah it is so entertaining, i recommend it to everyone.

Today for class we had a 2 hour lesson on tai-chi. Coolest class ever. and this is the kind of stuff we do regularly. Once a week we watch a chinese film and then have discussion on it. The way these classes are set up is amazing. I learn the most from the seminars i have every week. It is pretty much just open discussion on what we read. It is so interesting to get other peoples insight on what i read.

Last week Caroline came to visit. It was sure good to see a familiar face. She has all the pictures from that day so be sure to check them out.

Some things that I have recently started doing:
Long Boarding
Drinking a ridiculous amount of tea
Free walling (legal place to do graffiti)

There’s just something about this city. I feel so refreshed when I’m here! Last night my parents and I ate at this great french restaurant. I’ll write some more later but I’ll leave you with a few pictures.

Man Politics have been dominating my life lately. I am becoming obsessed. Top of the news lately is Sarah Palin. Oh Sarah Palin, you are ridiculous. She offers a bounty of $150 for the front left leg of freshly killed wolves. She is currently denying to meet with troopergate investigators. “Drill baby drill”, you’re dumb. She wants creationism taught in schools along with evolutionism. She doesn’t want Polar Bears put on the endangered species list because it might limit oil drilling. Gah I get frustrated. So this week as i was reading about the 400,000 campaign to support aerial hunting and lack of support for the protection of the Polar Bears so, I ended up with these.

Lipstick on a hypocrite The kiss is on the location of the refuge where The McPalin ticket to nowhere wants to drill for oil. (the lipstick is pink on photoshop, weird)

Supra NS makes some killer shoes. I’ve been waiting for these to come out for months now and they finally did! So I snatched up a pair while I could. I got a pair of the cubans.

Nervous, Anxious and Other Stuff

Right now I’m dying. All of a sudden its Sunday the 14th and I leave in 3 days. I’m just not sure what to do with myself. Since I’ve had so much time to chill and relax at home I feel like I still have a bunch of time to do the things that I want to do, and pack! but then I think rationally and realize I can’t possibly do it all.
I hate saying bye to people even though I know I will see them again in a few months. I had my last piano lesson this afternoon and my piano teacher made copies of all my best pieces for me to take to school just incase there is a piano for me to play. When it was over I was actually really really sad. I have had a piano lesson almost every week for the last 10 years! Thats 520 piano lessons! and now I’m done… I really should have done more with piano, I really think I took it for granted.

Tonight my family and I went to Hoban to have dinner and karaoke. It was one of the most fun times I’ve had with my family. We had a ton of delicious food, I got to see my dad do karaoke (anyone who knows my dad knows that it is very unlike him to do karaoke) and we shattered a glass table. A good note to end on. Ill put some pictures up eventually, they’re pretty funny.

All this time I’ve been thinking to myself “Oh I’m so ready to go, I just want to get out of here, this will be easy, I’m not worried at all.” and now just in the last week it has turned to, “Damn I don’t think I’m ready, can I do this? this isn’t as easy at all”

ello ello!

So after getting a few opinions I decided to dump tumblr for the time being (even though i kinda liked it) and make the switch to wordpress.

Now i will kick of my wordpress debut with kanye west’s killer VMA performance! it was awesome. very much reminded me of the 2008 Beijing Olympic opener. It starts out with a commercial but the performance will come at 3:20!

and i must add that seeing Travis Barker jamming the entire show was pretty awesome
